Israeli Settlers Torch Homes and Mosque in Masafer Yatta Masafer Yatta, a small village in the southern West Bank, has been at the center of a longstanding conflict between Israelis and Palestinians.
The site's significance extends beyond its 500 strong population, as it has become a contentious focal point in the struggle over land ownership and rights.
On February 28th, early morning fires swept through the village, consuming two homes and reducing a local mosque to smoldering ruins.
